Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a Project Manager to join their team. The duration of this post is 12 months initially with likely extensions thereafter. Location is flexible / hybrid working (must be available to attend client meetings / workshops as required.) Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €33.52 per hour based on an annualised salary of €61,219. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays. Role Purpose The ICT Project Manager will support the successful delivery of digital transformation and ICT projects across client programmes. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating project activities, maintaining project governance and assurance processes, monitoring progress against agreed plans, and ensuring that standards of quality, compliance and audit readiness are consistently applied. Working closely with Senior Project Managers, programme teams, business stakeholders, vendors and service leads, the role will contribute to the successful implementation of technology-enabled change initiatives that support the delivery of client priorities and broader organisational objectives. The role acts as a key link between programme leadership, operational services, ICT teams and external suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with agreed scope, timelines, budget and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Delivery Support the Senior Project Manager in the delivery of ICT projects to agreed scope, quality, budget and schedule. Maintain comprehensive and accurate project plans, status reports and project documentation using approved project management tools. Monitor project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues and dependencies. Support the development and maintenance of project schedules and implementation plans. Contribute to project governance and assurance processes, ensuring projects remain audit-ready at all times. Programme Governance & Assurance Support the consistent application of standards and governance frameworks. Ensure project documentation is maintained in line with organisational requirements. Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, presentations and programme updates for management and governance groups. Monitor compliance with agreed project controls, escalation procedures and reporting requirements. Support quality assurance and project review activities as required. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management Support the identification, assessment and management of project risks and issues. Maintain risk and issue registers and track agreed mitigation actions. Escalate significant risks, issues or dependencies in accordance with governance arrangements. Monitor project dependencies and ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement to support resolution. Essential Experience Experience working as part of a project team delivering ICT, digital transformation or business change initiatives. Experience supporting project planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting activities. Experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Experience operating within a complex, fast-paced environment. Experience maintaining project documentation, governance records and reporting outputs. Experience supporting project delivery within healthcare, public sector or similarly complex organisational environments is desirable. Skills & Abilities Knowledge and experience of ICT project delivery and project management disciplines. Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks. Knowledge and understanding of supplier and vendor management principles. Knowledge of service management and service transition processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation abilities. Ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities. Ability to analyse complex issues and identify practical solutions. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Strong leadership, coaching and team support capabilities. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent written communication and report-writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related tools. A good Knowledge of MS Project would be beneficial. Awareness of Digital for Care 2030, Slintecare and wider healthcare transformation initiatives.
