Senior Quantity Surveyor - Large-Scale Pharmaceutical Project Location: Dn Laoghaire, Co. Dublin (site-based) Company: Castle Group Contract: Permanent, full-time About Castle Group Castle Group is a Galway-headquartered fit-out and modular construction specialist. We deliver high-quality interior fit-out and off-site manufactured modular solutions for leading pharmaceutical, life sciences and data centre clients across Ireland and Europe. We manufacture in our own facility and install on site, which gives our clients speed, quality and certainty on complex, highly regulated projects. The Role Castle Group looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of our fit-out and modular package on a large-scale pharmaceutical project in Dn Laoghaire. The project is delivered under a construction management model with a leading EPCM partner. You'll own the commercial position from tender through to final account. You'll work closely with our Project Manager and Contracts Manager, and with the EPCM cost and commercial team. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial management of our package, including cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and monthly cost/value reconciliation (CVR) Administer our trade contract under a construction management arrangement, and manage notices, change requests and commercial risk through the EPCM's processes Prepare and agree monthly valuations and payment applications, covering both off-site manufactured and on-site installed works Track off-site manufacturing costs and ensure materials and modules stored off-site are valued and certified correctly Manage change control in line with project procedures: identify, price and agree variations, and maintain a robust change register Procure and manage subcontract and supply packages: tender documents, tender analysis, negotiation, award and subcontract administration Assess subcontractor valuations and agree subcontract final accounts Agree the final account for our package Produce accurate monthly cost reports and commercial forecasts for senior management Ensure compliance with the Construction Contracts Act 2013, RCT and relevant Irish tax and employment requirements Mentor and support junior QS staff on the project team About You Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Minimum 8 years' post-graduate QS experience with a contractor or specialist contractor Proven experience on fit-out or modular projects in pharma, life sciences, data centre or other mission-critical environments Experience working as a trade or package contractor under an EPCM or construction management model Strong working knowledge of NEC and Irish standard forms of contract Understanding of off-site manufacturing, factory cost control and cleanroom or GMP fit-out is highly desirable Confident negotiator with excellent commercial judgement and attention to detail Proficient in cost reporting, CVR and commercial software (e.g. CostX, Excel) SCSI or RICS chartered membership, or working towards it, is an advantage What We Offer Competitive salary: Car Pension contribution Professional development and support towards chartership Clear progression within a growing international business Employee wellbeing programme How to Apply Send your CV and a short cover letter to Castle Group is an equal opportunities employer.
