Job Description

Job Title: M&E Coordinator (Building Services) Location: Dublin Region Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: €60,000 €75,000 per annum + vehicle allowance, pension, and professional fees The Opportunity Talent Curve Recruitment is partnering with a leading Irish main contractor known for delivering large-scale, high-profile construction projects across the commercial, healthcare, and educational sectors. Due to an expanding project pipeline in the capital, they are seeking an M&E Coordinator to join their site management operations. In this role, you will take full responsibility for managing the technical interfaces between building infrastructure and building services. You will serve as the core technical point of contact, managing the relationship between design engineers, site delivery teams, and specialist subcontractors from early engineering phases right through to final handovers. Core Responsibilities Interface Management: Oversee the integration of complex building systems with structural and architectural designs, identifying spatial discrepancies before fabrication begins. Subcontractor Control: Supervise specialist mechanical and electrical trade partners on-site, ensuring field installations match technical specifications and milestone schedules. Technical Compliance: Evaluate technical submittals, material choices, and design variations against project benchmarks during procurement phases. System Validation: Manage the progress of on-site testing and system commissioning, ensuring all mechanical and electrical packages are ready for operational handover. Asset Close-Out: Coordinate the aggregation and verification of final asset documentation, including technical manuals and system handover portfolios. What You Need to Succeed Qualifications: A relevant third-level engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services) or an advanced mechanical/electrical trade background. Experience: A minimum of 3 years working in a services management capacity, ideally with exposure to large-scale structural builds or major commercial infrastructure. Software Literacy: Solid competency using drafting software (such as AutoCAD) to evaluate technical layouts, alongside general project software fluency. Key Traits: A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving, with the clear communication style needed to drive subcontractor schedules and hold design teams accountable.
