Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: Co. Wicklow Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: €50,000 €60,000 per annum + benefits The Opportunity Talent Curve Recruitment is partnering with an established engineering and manufacturing specialist based in Co. Wicklow. The business designs and fabricates high-quality mechanical solutions for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. They are seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer to join their technical team. In this role, you will support the lifecycle of engineering projects, working closely with the production floor to ensure that engineering designs are accurately translated into finished, high-quality products. Core Responsibilities Engineering Design: Review, develop, and modify engineering drawings and technical specifications for mechanical layouts. Production Support: Act as the technical link for the workshop floor, resolving fabrication queries and ensuring efficient assembly workflows. Project Documentation: Formulate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical manuals, and standard operational documentation. Quality Control: Ensure all manufactured parts and assemblies comply with required quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiencies, reduce material waste, and optimize product reliability. What You Need to Succeed Qualifications: A third-level degree (Level 7 or 8) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of practical experience within a manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial fabrication environment. Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of standard CAD software packages to review and update drawings. Key Traits: A practical, solutions-orientated professional with strong communication skills who is comfortable collaborating with both design and workshop teams.
