Financial Controller ROLE PROFILE Finance Manager| FMCG / Manufacturing Co Wicklow ABOUT THE BUSINESS A growing FMCG/manufacturing business is seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Manger to lead its finance function and support its next phase of growth. THE ROLE This senior, hands-on role combines ownership of day-to-day finance with commercial and strategic support to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the finance function and ensure accurate, efficient day-to-day financial operations. Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts and clear performance analysis. Partner with senior leaders on strategy, pricing, margins, profitability, investment and growth. Develop and monitor financial and commercial KPIs across products, customers and channels. Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships and financial risk. Oversee month-end close, the nominal ledger, accounts payable, receivables and credit control. Ensure robust stock accounting, reconciliations, valuations and inventory controls. Manage VAT, excise, payroll and other statutory returns. Maintain strong financial controls, policies and processes, driving improvements in systems and reporting. Lead the annual audit and liaise with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external stakeholders. Prepare and present financial information to the Board when required. ABOUT YOU An ambitious finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, commercial judgement and the confidence to take full ownership of the finance function. Essential experience and attributes: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification; strong relevant experience may also be considered. Proven experience in an FMCG, manufacturing or other stock-based environment. Strong management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability. Experience in cash-flow, working-capital and inventory accounting. Commercially minded, detail-oriented and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels. A clear communicator who can translate financial information into practical business insight. Confident partnering with senior leaders and managing external stakeholders. Comfortable in a growing, entrepreneurial environment where priorities may change. Experience with SAP Business One is advantageous but not essential.
