Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer Location: Cork (Regional / Site-Based) Salary: €50,000 - €60,000 + Benefits (Dependent on Experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Recruiter: Talent Curve Recruitment About the Client: Our client is a rapidly expanding mechanical engineering and turnkey services contractor delivering high-spec process utility and piping systems across Ireland. Operating extensively within the pharmaceutical, biopharma, and high-purity processing sectors, they seek a motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Cork-based project delivery teams. Key Responsibilities: Take operational ownership of mechanical packages from initial procurement through to site installation and commissioning. Review and redline piping isometrics, schematic arrays, and P&IDs to capture field modifications. Coordinate on-site mechanical plant requirements, scaffold routing, and multidisciplinary subcontractor schedules. Manage technical RFIs, compile high-purity material submittals, and liaise directly with client design teams. Build out comprehensive system turnover documentation packs and lead client system walkdowns for project handover. Generate site-specific safety documentation including RAMS, SPAs, and Permit-to-Work logs. Requirements: Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. 25 years experience managing site-based mechanical, piping, or process utility installation projects. Proven exposure to heavily regulated environments (Pharma, Medical Devices, Biotech, or Oil & Gas). Solid technical competency interpreting architectural drawings and utilizing AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Full clean Irish driving licence and an active Safe Pass & Manual Handling certificate.
